Banbury and the Surrounding Area
Feldon is proud to fall under the Cotswolds catchment area and this is reflected throughout the business, from the dry Cotswold wall that greets guests on arrival and the local artists on display, to the thoughtful touches in the hotel bedrooms including books by local authors and about the surrounding area. We encourage all overnight guests to explore the rich experiences on our doorstep, whether it’s a day exploring the clusters of honey-hued villages situated in close vicinity to Feldon or a visit to the nearby Daylesford Farm. Recognised as one of the most sustainable organic farms in the UK, Daylesford Farm’s iconic flagship location features an award-winning farmshop where you will find a Zero Waste Pantry, as well as stunning collections in its Homeware mezzanine and Garden Room. The world-renowned Cotswolds Distillery is right around the corner, offering tours and samples of its award-winning gin and whiskey and for those looking to get active, some of the country’s most scenic routes for walking and cycling are at your disposal, meandering up and over the rolling Cotswold hills and fields.
More Than a Restaurant
The Kitchen is part of Feldon Valley, which comprises modernist accommodation featuring 25 beautiful onsite rooms arranged across one main building, and four standalone lodges nestled in woodlands that runs parallel to the on-site golf course. We strive to use local suppliers and services at Feldon, with profits from the hotel operation given back to local and national charities to help worthwhile causes. We strive to be respectful of nature and have policies in place to protect and nurture this beautiful corner of the Cotswolds. We grow our own summer fruits, herbs and salads to help encourage bees and wildlife and have also installed over a hundred bird and bat boxes across the property. Our bathroom amenities are organic, as are our spa treatments, and our hand soaps are recycled. Even our hotel design encompasses a living roof and when we built our lodges, we planted thousands of bulbs to frame the boardwalk in spring. Every season brings something new and beautiful to enjoy at Feldon, reflected in our seasonal dishes and ever-changing menus.
